There’s famous line from president Kennedy’s inaugural speech: “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country.”
This is a far cry from what was heard last week at a town hall dubbed a “kitchen table summit.” It was held by congresswomen Maxine Waters (D CA), Laura Richardson (D CA) and Karen Bass (D CA). One constituent speaker uttered this parody (only she was serious) of JFK’s now famous words: So I’m askin’ the script be flipped and I’m askin’ what the country can do for me and…”
President Kennedy would be rolling over in his grave – Along with our Founding Fathers!
