By now, most people are aware that some of Rush Limbaugh’s advertisers have bowed to political pressure and cancelled their ads following Rush’s remarks about left wing activist Sandra Fluke’s ginned up birth control testimony on Capitol Hill:
March 6th, 2012. According to ThinkProgress.org: Capital One has recently aired advertisements on the Rush Limbaugh radio show. Today, ThinkProgress asked a representative of the company whether it is “taking steps to ensure that your ads will not run on Rush Limbaugh in the future.” Capital One responded: “Yes. We have reiterated our advertising choices to our media partners. If an ad did run, it was not authorized by us, and we do not want it to happen again.”
I can’t help wondering though, now that CapitalOne commercial star, Alec Baldwin has called U.S. Senator, James Inhofe (R OK) an Oil Whore, will CapitalOne cancel Alec Baldwin’s contract? I asked my pulmanologist. She told me not to hold my breath.
Below are some of Baldwin’s recent remarks. From thehill.com:
“Is there a bigger Oil Whore than James Inhofe?” Baldwin asked his 776,000 followers on Twitter Saturday.
“Oil Whore Jim Inhofe has betrayed every man and woman who lost their livelihood on the Gulf due to BP’s overwhelming negligence,” Baldwin, who currently stars on the hit NBC show “30 Rock,” tweeted later on Saturday.
Baldwin tweeted Saturday, “We gotta get rid of Inhofe in 2014. He’ll be 79,” and, in an exchange with another Twitter user about the Limbaugh comments, noted that “Fluke isn’t a slut and Inhofe is an oil whore.”
