As you can see, the Tug of Peace promoted in the above flyer took place in 2012.  A Google search showed that the 2011 event also featured a Tug of Peace, but it was mysteriously gone in 2013.  During a telephone conservation with the administrative secretary at the Avon Elementary School in Albany, Minnesota, she told me that they were indeed being politically correct in choosing the name, Tug of Peace. When I asked her if they had any problems with the event that might have caused it to be excluded from this year’s Family Celebration, she told me that it was coincidental. I guess that the word war, is so threatening that some people would rather just delete it from their vocabulary. Read more at: townhall.com.
