School Handout: ‘The Government Gives Us Rights’

The last time I checked the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence began as follows:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…

It appears that these days this doesn’t matter to some charged with educating our children as explained in the following article by Tony Sanchez:

Black Eyed Children

A well-circulated school handout is teaching children that rights are given to citizens not by their Creator, but by their government.
