This post contains three articles about the Biden(s)’ debacle all rolled up into one.
1 ♦ Biden Campaign Declares Open War on Free Press
by Hannah Bleau
Joe Biden’s presidential campaign sent a scathing letter to New York Times executive editor Dean Baquet for running an op-ed by author and Breitbart senior contributor Peter Schweizer, which laid out the former vice president’s pattern of corruption and calling for the federal government to investigate his dealings in both China and Ukraine.
The Biden campaign sent its letter to Baquet Wednesday, expressing outrage for printing “a baseless conspiracy theory” and calling Schweizer, author of the book Secret Empires, a “right wing polemicist.” While half of Schweizer’s op-ed in the Times addressed Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao’s China ties, the Biden campaign did not seem to take issue with that particular coverage. 2 ♦ Ukraine Fallout Turns Tough Guy Joe Biden into Big Crybaby
by John Nolte
Because he has no good answers for why his ne’er-do-well son Hunter was paid a sweet $50,000 a month — a month! — by a Ukrainian energy company, former-tough guy Joe Biden is going the full-crybaby to kill the story.
So, uhm, what happened to the badass who took on Corn Pop? What happened to the tough guy who was going to beat President Trump like a drum? What happened to the sunglasses and swagger?
I’ll tell you what happened…
Joe Biden got old. And I don’t mean number-wise. While Clint Eastwood is still knocking them out of the park at age 89, Joe Biden’s eye is exploding, his dentures are falling out, and now he’s ranting and raving at the refs because he’s losing the game.
On Thursday, the far-left New York Times published an op-ed written by Breitbart’s own Peter Schweizer, author of the recent bestseller Secret Empires. In the piece, Schweizer uses Biden and Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) as an example of why Congress must pass reforms closing the “glaring loophole [that] provide political families with an opportunity to effectively ‘offshore’ corruption and cronyism.”
About Biden, Schweizer lays out the devastating facts: Read the rest HERE.
3 ♦ NYT to Biden Campaign: Peter Schweizer Holds ‘Nonpartisan Government Watchdog’ Position
by Haris Alic
The New York Times fired back at Joe Biden’s campaign Wednesday, defending its decision to run an op-ed by Peter Schweizer, a senior contributor at Breitbart News who also helms a non-profit think tank focused on government accountability.
The dust-up started when the Biden campaign sent a letter to the Times lambasting the outlet for running an opinion piece by Schweizer detailing the numerous instances in which the former vice president’s political influence seemed to intersect with the business dealings of his youngest son, Hunter. The letter, which was authored by deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield, accused the Times of not having “internalized the sobering lessons of 2016” by giving “top billing” to a “right-wing polemicist” like Schweizer.
“But today’s decision is hardly the first example,” Bedingfield wrote, before proceeding to claim the Times had an “outsized hand in the spread of a baseless conspiracy theory” concerning the Biden family. “What was especially troubling about the Times’s active participation in this smear campaign is that prior to its reporting… this conspiracy had been relegated to the likes of Breitbart, Russian propaganda, and another conspiracy theorist, regular Hannity guest John Solomon.” Read the rest HERE.
