Conan, the Military Working Dog Wounded While Running Down Baghdadi is Making a Full Recovery

Conan, the dog wounded in the weekend raid in Syria that resulted in the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the founder and leader of the Islamic State, is said to be making a full recovery.

Today President Trump released a photograph of the military working dog who hunted ISIS leader Abū Bakr al-Baghdadi through a dark and dangerous tunnel in Idlib, Syria during a Delta Force raid over the weekend.

Connecting Vets was told this evening the dog’s name is Conan, assigned to Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC).

Most military working dogs are German or Dutch Shepards, while others are Belgian Malinois known for their exceptional intelligence and athletic abilities. These dogs are then highly trained and selected, just like their human counterparts in Special Operations Forces. Read the rest HERE.
