(TNS) When the Garbage Party is large and in charge, they nearly always overstep their bounds and blow up long-held principles, rules, and processes.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler is currently doing that to his panel.
The rules clearly state that the chair is supposed to allow the minority party a day in which they can schedule their own witnesses. That is especially important for the country, or it should be, because the subject is the impeachment of a sitting president.
But no. Nadler isn’t having any of it because Democrats are tyrants and their authoritarian tendencies override their sense of fair play. So he’s blowing up the rules in order to serve a short-term Democrat interest.
Former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) did the same thing. In 2013, in a rush to approve as many Left-wing hacks as Obama could nominate to the federal bench, Reid invoked the “nuclear option” — he moved to eliminate the 60-vote rule on executive branch nominations and federal judicial appointments so that they could be approved by a simple Democrat majority.
