Teachers Urge Government To Reopen Schools Before Students Learn To Think For Themselves

from the BabylonBee:

U.S.—Teachers at government schools have raised their concerns that the recent closure of their institutions will have a damaging effect on students. In particular, the nation’s educators are worried that the longer the schools are closed, the more likely it is that students will begin thinking for themselves, learn life skills away from the government school system, and realize how much more they learn at home.

“We must reopen as soon as possible — before they regain their ability to have independent thoughts,” said New York 4th-grade teacher Ms. Jenny Mudd. “This is an urgent crisis. We realize we have to do our part to prevent the spread of the virus, but we must also prevent the spread of unapproved ideas. There’s a balance there.”

“Reopen the schools before it is too late.” Read the rest HERE.

  1. The Flash says:

Did anyone not read some of the Obama-mandated Common Core curricula? Pro-left propaganda was everywhere!

  2. The Flash says:

“Unapproved ideas?” Discourage “independent thoughts?” Really? THIS is what we want from our teachers?

The only way to perpetuate the election of far-left liberals is to indoctrinate children with thirteen years of mandatory public education, or have we already forgotten the blatant left-wing propaganda contained in Obama’s mandated Common Core efforts? Thankfully, Common Core was so blatant, that it failed, but don’t expect the concept, or effort, to die. The next time we see a liberal Democrat elected to the presidency, we’ll see some form of it arise again (along with some new form of government healthcare). Control people’s healthcare and their education, and you’ll control the people. Sig Heil, Nancy & Company, Sig Heil!

The urgent crisis is that The Department of Socialist and Communist Education has not been eliminated. Education needs to be run at the township level. In that scenario, comrades like Ms. Jenny Mudd would not be hired in the first place. Then Ms. Mudd could get the job she’s really qualified to perform asking that all-important question, “Do you want fries with that?”

The Babylon Bee may be satire but my response is serious.

  5. The Flash says:

Actually, Joe, teachers like Jenny Mudd would be enthusiastically embraced by our local school board! My wife, who possesses NINE college degrees, and an unblemished record of “superior” evaluations as a teacher could not, after fifteen years of teaching in Gainesville, get hired in Alachua County once her conservative views surfaced. She had to finish her career as a much-appreciated teacher in Union County, whose students benefited from her massive education and superior teaching skills.

  6. Joe Z says:

Flash, I agree 100%. The character Jenny Mudd is the TYPICAL bureaucrat that IS THE PROBLEM. If LOCAL CONTROL of our educational system can be brought back to the township level, we the people would spot and fire hacks like the character Jenny Mudd. Competent people, like your wife, would be hired in a heart beat.
