President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Amy Coney Barrett, released the text of her opening remarks ahead of her Senate confirmation hearing on Monday.

The following is the full text of Barrett’s prepared opening statement to be delivered before the Senate Judiciary Committee tomorrow (Monday-ADB) morning:

Barrett was nominated by President Trump to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court left by the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg last month.

Barrett’s confirmation hearings are scheduled to take place before the Senate Judiciary Committee starting on Monday, October 12, at 9:00 a.m. and continuing through Thursday, October 15.
