I have NOT worn a mask in about the last 18 visits I’ve made to local stores. So far, no one has given me any crap. If they give you grief for not wearing one just tell them that your doctor told you not to wear one as a mask reduces your oxygen intake by about 20% and exhaling into that cloth eventually builds up bacteria that harms you when you inhale back through that bacteria-laden mask. If they persist ask them if they are doctors and then tell them loudly that you need to speak to the manager.
